Campbell Grove Talent are working with a fantastic accountancy firm based near Shipley, West Yorkshire.  What makes this one stand out? The culture and the 35-hour working week. That’s it. No expectation to stay late, no unwritten rule that long hour’s equal commitment, just a well-established Yorkshire accountancy firm that respects your time as much as your talent.

We’re looking for a qualified Tax Manager to join this well-loved firm. They’ve been around for over a century, they know what they’re doing, and the team certainly make it a highly automatous but most importantly, enjoyable place to work.

Think forward-thinking and down-to-earth in equal measure. They work with a really varied client base, owner-managed businesses, start-ups, larger corporates, charities, and international clients, and their approach is refreshingly personal.

The Role

A Tax Manager role with a corporation tax lean, though they’d also consider someone from a mixed tax background. Our client is incredible open on the level they recruit,  if you’re a qualified Tax Senior who’s ready for more responsibility, great. If you’re already operating at Manager level and fancy a fresh challenge, also great. They’ll shape the role around whoever is the right fit.

Day to day you’d be looking at:

  • Corporation tax compliance and advisory across a varied and interesting client portfolio
  • Getting involved in tax planning conversations, not just processing
  • Act as the primary point of contact for HMRC enquiries and investigations, representing clients and resolving disputes.
  • Building real relationships with clients across sectors like professional services, financial services, education and charities
  • Keeping up to date with tax legislation and identifying opportunities and risks for clients
  • Preparing tax computations

What we’re looking for:

You’ll need to be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) with experience in personal or corporation tax. Beyond that, they want someone who’s personable, takes ownership of their work, and genuinely cares about the service they’re giving clients.

Sound like you?

If you’re a tax professional who wants to do great work without sacrificing your evenings and weekends, this is worth a conversation. Please apply with your CV or contact Lucy Regan or Emma Dugdale for a confidential chat.
