Ready to step out of Practice and into a business where your technical skills really make a difference?
We’re partnering with a fast-growing IT business based in Leeds city centre that’s looking for a Manager within Revenue & Reporting to take ownership of all things revenue — from recognition and reporting to insight and improvement.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work won’t just sit in spreadsheets — it’ll shape how the business makes decisions and drives growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Own revenue recognition – make sure everything lines up perfectly with IFRS 15 and internal policy, so audit time is easy.
- Bring the numbers to life – deliver monthly revenue and gross profit reports that don’t just show results, but explain the story behind them.
- Keep the balance sheet clean – manage accrued and deferred income accounts with precision, fixing issues before they become problems.
- Be the bridge between Finance and the wider business – partner with commercial and delivery teams to get revenue treatment right and support smart, data-led decisions.
- Make things better – find new ways to streamline, automate, and simplify processes.
- Lead and grow your team – coach, develop, and support them as the business scales.
What good looks like
- Revenue and GP reporting that’s accurate, insightful, and trusted.
- Clear reconciliations with no aged items hanging around.
- Reports that actually mean something — driving action, not just filling folders.
- A motivated, capable team that’s always improving.
- Finance processes that run smoothly and free up time for smarter work.
What you’ll bring
- You’re a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), likely trained in Practice.
- You have a strong knowledge of revenue recognition and IFRS 15.
- Experience in financial reporting, analysis, or audit — ideally with exposure to tech, SaaS, or project-based clients.
- You’re analytical, curious, and not afraid to challenge the numbers (or the narrative).
- You can communicate complex financials in plain English for non-finance teams.
- You’re comfortable with Excel and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Bonus points for: leading a team, using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), or experience with recurring/subscription revenue models.
Why this role matters
This isn’t your standard finance job.
It’s about making the numbers work for the business — turning data into decisions, building confidence across teams, and driving better outcomes every month.
If you’re coming from Practice and want to bring your technical knowledge and experience into a dynamic, tech-focused environment where you can make an impact from day one — this is your next step.
