Campbell Grove Talent are recruiting for a business based in Morley, Leeds, who are looking for a Financial Controller to join them. You’ll lead a small, friendly finance team and report directly to the Head of Finance.
A hands-on role: you’ll own the management accounts, support year end, and work alongside the auditors, while also being the go-to technical sounding board for the team around you.
You won’t be buried in the numbers and forgotten. You’ll get excellent exposure for the Senior Management Team.  Your insight will shape decisions, and you’ll see the impact of your work.
What you’ll be doing
- Producing timely, accurate management accounts and explaining what they mean
- Supporting year end and working closely with the auditors
- Leading and developing a small team, coaching them and keeping standards high
- Acting as a technical sounding board for the wider finance function
- Presenting to and supporting the board with clear, useful financial insight
- Spotting ways to improve processes as the business scales
What you’ll bring
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) ideally with a practice background
- Strong technical knowledge and the confidence to back it up
- Hands-on experience with management accounts and year end
- A natural people leader who is happy to roll their sleeves up
- Good communication skills and comfort dealing with senior stakeholders
