We’re on the lookout for a Finance Manager to join one of our clients in Leeds city centre.
This is a pivotal role, helping the business to get revenue recognition right, keeping gross profit reporting sharp, and making sure the numbers always tell a story that drives smart decisions.
You’ll be the go-to person for all things revenue: from ensuring accuracy and integrity in reporting, to digging into the numbers and surfacing insights that help the business move forward. If you love balancing the detail with the bigger picture, this role has your name on it.
What you’ll be doing
- Revenue recognition that stands up to scrutiny – making sure everything aligns with IFRS 15 and their internal policies, with zero surprises come audit time.
- Telling the story behind the numbers – preparing and reviewing monthly revenue and GP reports, pulling out the trends, and explaining the ‘why’ behind the results.
- Keeping reconciliations clean – owning accrued and deferred income accounts, resolving discrepancies quickly, and keeping aged items from piling up.
- Partnering across the business – working closely with commercial and delivery teams on revenue treatment, and being a trusted voice for Finance, Commercial, and Operations.
- Driving improvements – finding smarter, faster ways of doing things, whether that’s through automation, better processes, or sharper reporting.
- Leading and developing a team – supporting and developing your team so they grow with the business, with clear goals and regular feedback.
What success looks like
- Revenue and GP numbers that are accurate, timely, and trusted.
- Clean reconciliations — nothing hanging around unresolved past 90 days.
- Insightful reporting that’s more than just numbers — it guides decisions.
- A motivated, high-performing team that feels supported and challenged.
- Smoother processes and less manual reporting (we want to work smarter, not harder).
What you’ll bring
- Ideally you’re a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar).
- You know revenue recognition inside out, especially IFRS 15.
- You’ve worked in financial reporting and analysis — bonus points if that was in a tech or services setting.
- You’re great at spotting issues early and solving them, and you’ve got a sharp eye for detail.
- You can translate complex financials for non-finance colleagues.
- Excel is second nature, and you’re comfortable with ERP systems (think SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- You’re collaborative, confident, and not afraid to challenge when it’s needed.
Nice to have: experience leading a team, using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau, and working with project or subscription revenue models.
Why this role matters
This isn’t just about closing the books. It’s about helping the business make better decisions, faster, with numbers that can be trusted. It’s about building strong relationships across teams, spotting opportunities for improvement, and coaching others to do the same.
If you’re someone who thrives on accuracy, loves connecting the dots, and enjoys bringing clarity to complexity, we’d love to hear from you.
