Campbell Grove Talent are partnering with a forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants based in York, looking to recruit a driven Practice Accountant to join their Accounts team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience of working in Practice looking for the next step in their career.
You will play a key role in delivering high quality accounting services to a varied client portfolio, while developing your technical skills and progressing your career within a supportive and collaborative firm.
The role:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparation and review of management accounts
- Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations (with support from the Tax team)
- Supporting and advising clients on day-to-day accounting and business matters
- Liaising directly with clients, building strong and trusted relationships
- Working closely with colleagues across Accounts, Business Services, Audit and Tax
- Assisting with workflow management and meeting deadlines
- Identifying opportunities to add value and improve client service

What you bring:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- A good working knowledge of accounts preparation
- Studying towards, or qualified in, ACA, ACCA or equivalent (study support provided)
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
- A proactive, driven approach with a desire to learn and progress
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
