Campbell Grove Talent are looking for a Head of Finance to join a growing finance team – a newly created role born from the success of their newly promoted Finance Director.
Our client is an engineering business where your finance expertise will directly impact how they build, grow, and innovate. You’ll be reporting to a fantastic Finance Director who genuinely invests in their team’s development.
Their site is based on the outskirts of Wakefield, offering hybrid working and flexible working hours.
What will you be doing?
- Leading the finance function – managing a solid team while being prepared to get stuck into the technical stuff yourself
- Being the compliance champion – statutory accounts, technical accounting standards, and all the regulatory bits that keep auditors happy
- Business partnering that actually matters – working directly with operations and commercial teams to make sense of the numbers and drive real decisions
- Driving meaningful change – spotting opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and add genuine value beyond the spreadsheets
- Building systems and processes to support the Senior Management Team in getting valuable data accurately and efficiently
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is technically competent, practice trained would be a nice to have but not essential. More importantly someone ambitious and proactive that likes to add value.
- A qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Naturally curious about process improvement and operational efficiency
- The type of person who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment
- Experience in financial and management accounting
- Someone either in a similar role or ambitious enough to step up quickly
